Five/Fourteen is a foster placement agency that matches LGBT+ youth in Ontario’s foster care system with LGBT+ foster parents.
We recruit members of the queer community and allies who are committed to providing youth in care with the safe and supportive home everyone deserves.
We train our foster care providers using a comprehensive training program developed with leading researchers from the social work and LGBT+ service sector.
Our name references May 14th, which the Government of Ontario has now declared "Children and Youth In Care Day In Ontario". May 14, 1969 is the date the legislation decriminalizing homosexual acts received royal assent in Canada's Parliament.
